If Jesus is really a divine being, then all the horrible suffering that the Romans could dish out (see Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ) would just be nothing to him. If he's a normal guy who really can suffer torture, and enduring it for our sake is a significant sacrifice on his part, then it would seem that he's not divine. You can't really have it both ways. <BR/><BR/>MMMatt McCormickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17071078570021986664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8716347331682132223.post-61642060889108450122007-08-14T10:47:00.000-07:002007-08-14T10:47:00.000-07:00'Tom, a recent commenter, summarized William Lane ...'Tom, a recent commenter, summarized William Lane Craig this way: eternal life with God is so infinitely pleasurable and glorious that the sufferings of this life are not even worthy to be compared with it.'<BR/><BR/>So what's the big deal about Jesus's suffering?Steven Carrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11983601793874190779noreply@blogger.com
